She'arim College of Jewish Studies for Women offers an exceptional approach to education that combines personalized teaching, textual study skills and an integrative approach to personal growth. She'arim relates to each student as a unique person, individualizing schedules and classes as necessary.
The hallmark of She'arim is the fostering of a close student-teacher relationship, the skills and incentive to continue learning, and the ability to connect with the spiritual side of Judaism. As a school run by women for women, She'arim has a special flavor to it. An atmosphere of mutual cooperation, concern, encouragement and growth prevails at She'arim.
At She'arim we believe educating women is the link to our heritage and the key to our future. We provide a holistic learning program uniquely tailored to women's needs. Small by design, She'arim offers Jewish women of different backgrounds the opportunity to study in Israel with top educators. She'arim fosters a warm cooperative environment that encourages close connections between students and teachers, and that in turn assists students to reach their potential intellectually and spiritually. Classes balance intellectual challenges and development with a focus on spiritual development.
A full range of Jewish studies including Torah, Prophets, Halacha, Jewish Philosophy, Hebrew Ulpan and Jewish History in both lecture and chevruta format. Five different levels provide classes that meet the learning needs of beginners through advanced students. The program individualizes each student's learning schedule to enable maximum impact.
Outside the classroom, She'arim students participate in a wide variety of field trips, cultural activities, chesed projects and Shabbatonim throughout the year, to enhance their Israel experience.
