Chizuk for Pesach By Rebbetzin Diane Liff
As women, we view Pesach with great trepidation until we get to the freedom of the night of the seder, all we feel is the slavery of the cleaning and preparations. Even if we simply clean the chometz from our drawers, toy chests and kitchens, and not a spring-cleaning, we sometimes lose sight of what it is that we are supposed to be accomplishing in this particular form of service of Hashem. So I wanted to give over to us a pep-talk (chizuk) on where this preparation is truly meant to bring us.
She'arim's Simchas by Alisa Roberts, Contributions by Rebbetzin Malka Kaganoff
Its Adar, which means time for simcha. And thank G-d we've had our share at She'arim this year. But simcha, especially at She'arim, is a multifaceted concept.
The truth is, She'arim is a venue for simcha: as the women here quickly learn, it a deeply satisfying and rewarding experience to find what you want out of life and then to watch yourself grow toward it. And when you can share that experience with people focused on the same goals, the same growth, who are at the same time enthusiastically supporting yours, well then simcha isn't difficult to imagine.
